What is the Underground City? In Montreal, we have a “secret” city. It is called the RÉSO. The name comes from the French word réseau, which means “network.” It is a huge maze of tunnels under our downtown streets. It is the biggest of its kind in the whole world!

There are over 32 kilometers of paths. That is like walking from the Olympic Stadium to Lachine and back, all while staying warm and dry.
